Hello!
So today's post is pretty exciting because I will be reviewing the Aritaum Water Sliding Tint which was released about two months ago.
I purchased two colours #4 Pinky Funky and #12 Fruit Punch for about $10.48 USD. So affordable and I have to say, these are probably one of the BEST lip products I have ever tried! Keep reading to find out why...
So here are the promotional images/lip swatches
There are 15 shades in total for this collection and such a beautiful range of colors!
As you can see swatched on my hand, the formula is glossy and sheer, but don't be fooled by the word 'sheer' as this product is SUPER buildable, thin and non sticky at all. The name they picked for the product describes it perfectly, it literally glides on like water and feels like a moisturising balm.
First let's take a look at #4 Pinky Funky, the tube is very sleek with the colour of the product shown on the outside. The interesting thing about this packaging is the twist up application. To use the product, you twist the bottom, however it will only reveal 1mm of the product at a time so a WARNING: do NOT try and screw the product to the top as it will NOT go back down. I'm not really sure why they designed it like this, perhaps to save product wastage? Anyway, it doesn't bother me.
Here it is swatched on my lips with one layer, it's such a fresh looking translucent pink! I love it.
And here it is with a second layer applied, as you can see the color is definitely build-able and turns from a baby pink to a brighter fuschia.
Moving onto the next shade, #12 Fruit Punch. This color is a refreshing sheer red.
Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of this shade applied with a second layer, sorry!! >_< Just know that it builds up to a medium toned tomato red, almost like a glossier version of MAC Ladybug.
Overall Thoughts
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product!! I want to purchase more!
Pros
- Affordable
- Super moisturising (contains argan oil)
- Feels thin and watery upon application
- Glossy and sheer yet buildable
- Smells fruity and fresh, it actually contains apricot, plum and peach seed oil.
- Easy to apply on the go
- Unique 1mm twist up function
- Lasts about 3 hours for me, leaves a beautiful stain
Cons
- Would not be a great product to use at nighttime as it is not super long lasting. But honestly, other than that I can't fault it! If you don't like glossy finishes, then you won't like this product.
Overall Rating: 5/5!! I'm a HUGE fan!
If you have tried the original and oh-so-famous Aritaum Honey Melting Tint, please let me know, I would be interested to find out how that one compares to the Water Sliding Tint.
Love, Allee
