Today I wanted to review the Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur.
I purchased this for $13.93 on sale at www.jolse.com. It comes in a medium sized bottle containing 35g of product and also containing SPF 15 PA+

The product claims to target imperfections of the skin by covering pores and therefore creating a smooth and 'blurred' canvas for the foundation to work on. It also claims to correct the tone of the skin, the product itself is a peachy pink which is usually good for brightening the complexion.
To me, this sounds a bit like photoshop in a bottle!
Let's start off with the packaging, its a cute pale peach cylindrical bottle with a pump dispenser.
The ingredients are listed above on the back of the box.
The container holds 1.23 oz of product, and if you are familiar with the most famous pore-covering product by far: The Benefit Porefessional, that one contains only 0.75 oz of product and costs a steep price of $31.00 USD. Pretty crazy for something so small, but then again, everything Benefit is overpriced to me.
Below you can see I've dispensed a small amount onto the back of my hand, the texture itself is smooth and creamy. The Benefit Porefessional is silicone based, however my skin is not a huge fan of silicone based products, they tend to feel thicker and not so comfortable to wear on the skin. In comparison, the Etude House one does not feel silicone-y at all which is a huge bonus.
Next i blended it into my hand, here's a close up. As you can see, above the line the ?pores? on my hand are still fairly visible as compared to below the line where I've applied the product. It looks a lot more smoothed, blurred and even.
Overall Thoughts
Pros
- Does what it claims to do.
- Blurs out the pores and keeps the skin texture smooth whilst slightly brightening the complexion.
- Doesn't feel silicone-y or heavy on the skin
- Has a light baby powder scent that isn't irritating or overpowering.
- Affordable for the amount of product
- Great dupe for the Benefit porefessional
- Has sun protection of SPF 15!
- Adorable packaging
Cons
- None really, I can't fault it!
I really do love this product, and yes my verdict is that it does indeed photoshop the skin in real life.
Overall Rating
5/5!
Love, Allee
